Understanding what Jesus did for Us

is people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:21

It’s hard to imagine what it was like for Jesus to live under the shadow of the cross every day of His life. Even as a lad in Joseph’s carpenter shop, nailing those nails into a piece of lumber, He must’ve thought about the day when those soldiers would drive the nails in His hands and in His feet.

One of my favourite pictures of Jesus portrays Christ as a toddler. It’s the end of the day. He’s playing next to His father, Joseph, in his carpentry shop and the sun is setting. And as Jesus is kneeling down handling some metal spikes, the shadow of a cross is formed on the ground over His shoulder.

Jesus lived everyday of His life in anticipation of that moment when He would give His life on the cross for our sins. So it was no surprise when He, at about 33 years of age, was arrested, beaten, and sentenced to die for the sins of the world.

And even harder than that is to imagine that when He died, He made a way for you to have a relationship with God. So thank Jesus today for what He did for you and, if you haven’t already, accept the gift of salvation He’s given you through His death and resurrection.

There is still an opportunity for you to do so now; just say this prayer of salvation with faith:

“Dear Heavenly Father! I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son. Your Word says, “…..whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).

I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world! (1 John 4:4). I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!”

If you have just said this prayer with me CONGRATULATIONS! You are now a child of God.

You are now seated above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named (failure, poverty, sickness, infirmities, limitations, lack, diseases, fear)not only in this age but also in that which is to come with Christ Jesus Our personal Lord and Saviour.  Amen! (Ephesians 1:15-23)

Receive power to succeed in every area of your life. Study your Bible diligently and meditate in it day and night (Joshua 1:8).

And lastly, don’t forget the fellowship of the Saints; prayerfully find and belong to a Bible – faith believing Church and watch God fulfil all His Word concerning You!

Congratulations!!!!

JESUS LIVED EVERY DAY IN LIGHT OF WHAT HE WOULD DO FOR YOU ON THE CROSS. SO THANK HIM AND TRUST THAT HE’S SAVED YOU FROM DEATH!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I Am A Winner In Christ Jesus

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

I am a Winner In Christ Jesus

2 Corinthians 2:14:

”Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

Triumph means that we have overcome, and generally it is a glorious victory! So may we have a glorious day today as we walk in the fullness of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Act in a manner befitting your victory.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God Gives The Power To Get Wealth

at dusk in Kensington, Maryland, USA.

God Gives The Power To Get Wealth

Deuteronomy 8:18 says:

“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

God has given us the power to get wealth. That power is found in obedience and faith. It is found in living righteously so that God can pour out His blessing upon us. It is found in us trusting Him in every area of our lives. It is found in us realizing that God is our source.

Paul said in Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

God is your source. Never forget it as you become blessed. Never forget where your blessing came from. Never forget that it was God who gave you the favour, the wisdom, the counsel, and the direction to bring blessing to your life. Today, wholeheartedly thank Him, worship Him, and praise Him for all He has done and all He is about to break forth upon you.

Thank Him for the power!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers

at dusk in Kensington, Maryland, USA.

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers

Success

I’ve never met a person who did not want to be successful.

The desire to succeed is God-given.

God wants you to be successful.

John writes, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” -3 John 2 (KJV)

That’s what I describe as nothing broken and nothing missing.

That’s your spiritual walk, your emotions, your finances, your job, your health, your relationships, your household and the list goes on and on.

You Are As He Is

Take a moment to imagine how God sees you right now.

Because of Jesus Christ’s finished work at the Cross, God sees us as kings and priests. We are as He (Christ) is in this world.

Doesn’t it make you feel great knowing that God sees the finished product in you?

Remember this feeling because success in life is a journey, not a destination.

There will be times in life when you feel insignificant and down. There will be times when you don’t feel like taking another step.

That’s when you need to say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”

It’s Not What You Do Once in a While that Makes the Difference

Success doesn’t happen overnight.

In most cases, what we see as the big pay-off is the result of someone’s continual dedication to correct information and association.

That’s why it is critically important to remind yourself of who you are in Christ.

I recommend making this reminder part of your daily routine. I also recommend that you commit to reading your Bible on a daily basis.

I’ve often said that if you want to be a leader, you’ve got to be a reader.

It has never been easier, than in today’s day and age, to renew your mind.

There are audio books, podcasts, YouTube videos, e-books, and countless other forms of high-quality education.

After stretching your mind, you’ll begin to dream bigger and prioritize your life. You’ll regain that get-up-and-go attitude that you thought was lost.

A renewed mind results in a renewed attitude.

You see, success in life depends more on your attitude than it does on your surroundings or the people who are currently causing roadblocks in your life.

I’ve found that unsuccessful people have an attitude of avoidance.

They avoid taking responsibility. They avoid risk. They try to avoid failure.

On the other hand, successful people turn failure into feedback.

They realize that life is a path so they keep moving. They don’t stop to dwell on their mistakes.

Instead of focusing on the negative consequences of failure, they see each setback as a bump in the road to prosperity.

What are you focusing on?

We were doing business with a particular organization and they were doing a great job. Then they began to branch out into other areas.

Soon, they were spreading themselves and their staff so thin, they were unable to perform on the level that earned them our business. Bottom line is, it cost them a client.

The most successful businesses (and people) narrow their focus and concentrate their efforts on the things they do best.

When we branch out and try to be all things to all people, we misplace what makes us great.

There is power in narrowing your focus.

It is through Christ finished work that we are able to do all things.

It is by His blood that we are overcomers.

Focus on Him and you will be successful.

I call you blessed.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

You are favoured by God

Česky: Kříže - symbol utrpení Ježíše Krista a ...

You are favoured by The Lord

By acknowledging and giving thanks for the little things, we open the door to the much

If nothing could stop you…

How much could you accomplish?

If you woke up tomorrow morning with an unfair advantage…

How far could you go?

If the universe worked with you and not against you…

How would your reaction to your circumstances differ?

Favour can change your life.

And whether you realize it or not, you are favoured.

You see, Jesus purchased favour for you on the cross.

He gave up His life so that yours could be abundant. (John 10:10)

In Romans 8:32, Paul asks, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

It’s a rhetorical question which means God is not going to withhold anything from you.

But you say, “if you realized how difficult times have been…”

“If you could only see the trouble that I’m in…”

“Perhaps then you would see that I am not favoured at all.”

So where’s the favour?

Maybe the problem is that we don’t always recognize God’s favour.

And if we don’t recognize His favour, then maybe we don’t properly respond it.

I had lunch with a friend of mine this last week. He told me about some billboards he leased.

He paid for a single month blitz several months ago, but his billboards are still all over the city.

The leasing company has not been able to rent them to anyone else so they decided to keep them up until they do.

That’s free advertising and real money.

That’s favour!

I was at another friend’s house a couple of weeks ago.

I made a comment about how beautiful his new retaining wall was (iron fence and all). He said MSD put that retaining wall and fence in for free.

That’s favour!

Then there’s the story of the woman who got in a fender bender and missed a promising job interview.

She had been unemployed for months. She thought, “Why does everything seem to work against me?”

Little did she know she would be receiving a better paying job offer the next week.

If it had not been for the wreck, she would have never been in a position to take the better job.

That’s favour (even though she didn’t recognize it)!

Each and every day, God’s favour surrounds us.

Surely, LORD, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favour as with a shield. – Psalm 5:12 (NIV)

Search for God’s favour and acknowledge it (even when it seems miles away).

Jesus said that if you are faithful over the little, you will be ruler over the much. (Matthew 25:23)

James wrote that every good gift is from God. (James 1:17)

So even when it seems like all hell is breaking loose…

Seek to recognize that one moment today that made you forget about your troubles, or that one thing that put a smile on your face.

Acknowledge these small gifts as signs of God’s favour.

Then give Him praise and thanks for them.

By acknowledging and giving thanks for the little things, we open the door to the much.

We produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good thing that is ours in Christ Jesus. –Philemon 1:6 (AMP)

Then, true to His word, God will pour out a blessing that we cannot contain. (Malachi 3:10)

Repeat after me…

Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for purchasing supernatural favour for me on the cross.

By Your blood, every aspect of my life is blessed and highly favoured.

Something good is going to happen to me today, and I am going to recognize it.

And when I do, I will acknowledge You and give You thanks.

Thank You Lord! Amen!

You should expect to find favour this week.

When you find favour this week, I want you to acknowledge it by sharing it with me.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

A Slave Of Christ Jesus

William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905) - The F...

A Slave Of Christ Jesus

“This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus….” (Romans 1:1)

When I proposed to Vonette, I said we would travel the world and that we would live in prestigious Bel Air, California. I promised her everything her heart could desire before we were married.

But within a couple of years our desires and our interests had changed. We had both fallen in love with Jesus. We came to the conclusion that knowing and serving Jesus was more important than anything else.

It was in that spring of 1951, one memorable afternoon, that Vonette and I, in our home in the Hollywood Hills, got on our knees and prayed, “Lord, we surrender our lives irrevocably to You. We want to do Your will. We want to love and serve You with all of our hearts for the rest of our lives.”

We actually wrote and signed a contract committing our whole lives to Him, relinquishing all of our rights, all of our possessions, everything we would ever own, giving to Him, our Dear Lord and Master, everything.

In the words of the apostle Paul, Vonette and I became voluntary “slaves” of Jesus that Sunday afternoon, by choice, as an act of the will.

Approximately 24 hours after we signed the contract to be His slaves, He gave me a world-changing vision, which we call Campus Crusade for Christ. I believe that had there been no contract, there would have been no vision.

For over 50 years, I have considered it my greatest honour to be a slave of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Is God truly sovereign in your life? Do you believe wholeheartedly that knowing and serving Jesus is the more important than anything else? Are you willing, along with the apostle Paul, to voluntarily become a slave of Jesus out of your love for Him?

What More Does God Say?

2 Peter 1:1; Matthew 20:25-28; Luke 22; 24-27; 2 Corinthians 6:4-10

Because God is sovereign, I will joyfully submit to His Will, Amen!

It is time for the Church to be about the Father’s business… it’s time for us to go further

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

It is time for the Church to be about the Father‘s business… it’s time for us to go further

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on his rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16:18

Did you know that the Church is to confront demons of darkness wherever we find them? We are to cast them out in the name of Jesus as a sign to unbelievers! This may sound radical to you but it is not-it is what Christ Jesus said we would do!

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name they cast out devils” (Mark 16:17)
. The Church has been slothful in deliverance. We have been lazy, for we don’t want to pay the price to live holy lives, we do not study the Word of God the way we ought to, we do not spend the time before God’s presence as we should and we do not exercise our authority as we are directed to do. So as a Church how can we know the Father’s heart?

As believers our lives and actions are to testify that we belong to Christ Jesus. We are to spread the Word of God, cast out demons, set the captives free, take care of the needy and poor, and demonstrate the love of God continually.

It is time for the Church to be about the Father’s business… it’s time for us to go further.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

Jesus Christ Crucifix

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

There is a huge separation between God and His creation, man.

Satan has done his best to alienate us from our God, and has left a trail of broken planks on the bridge to Him. We are in the midst of the worst scenario the world has seen, as chaos, war, promiscuity, murder and drug use prevail.

In other words, sin.

Why is it that we have now decided sin is an obsolete idea whose usefulness has long ago vanished? Why do we now think that living a fairly good life is enough to “save” us? What makes us think we can dismiss sin as irrelevant in our times?

Satan’s strategy is to get us to deny that sin and our sinfulness exist, thereby eliminating our need for a Saviour.

Jesus came to save people from their sins (Matthew 1:21); that was His ultimate purpose.

We are under a terrible illusion if we really believe sin does not exist, or that it doesn’t matter. Jesus gave His life so that we could have a relationship with God. His death has spanned the chasm between man and God, and now we can all come to Him in repentance.

Out Of Egypt

Out Of Egypt

2 Chronicles 36:4

“Then the king of Egypt made Jehoahaz‘s brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother and carried him off to Egypt.”
NKJV

Throughout the Bible, we see Egypt presented as a picture of sin. It was a land of great wealth and power, but to Israel, it was a land of captivity and bondage. As Christians, we live in a world that is much like Egypt. The world desires to see us in bondage to its system. Whether you call it the “rat race” or “keeping up with the Joneses”, the world system will only leave you wanting more. Friend, we need to get off that train because it’s headed nowhere except over a cliff.

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” NKJV

Instead of letting the world dictate our life, we need to let God have control. Let the Word of God go into your eyes, your ears, your brain and your heart so that it will begin changing you from the inside out. Don’t be fooled by the “riches” of Egypt, rather experience the true riches of God.

Life Lesson: Change the way you think, and you change the way you live.

Dear God,
Give me eyes to see and a heart to receive Your Word. Help me to overcome the worldly way of thinking and instead begin thinking like Jesus. I pray that today would be the day that I change my life by walking in obedience to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
