Genesis_1-26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth

Dominion Mentality. The Dominion Mandate

“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”

Isaiah 45:22 (KJV)

The book of Mark chapter 6 talks about how Jesus fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes. Notice that in verse 41, the scripture says that He took the five loaves and two fishes and looked up to heaven. He refused to look on earth where there is lack. He looked to heaven where there is prosperity. He looked up to heaven that created the earth.

Romans_6-14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

When you look to the word of God in order to function, you are looking at an unlimited source. When you function from the platform of the word of God you are functioning from a source that is unlimited. So He looked to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to His disciples to distribute them. And after all was said and done, they took up fragments 12 baskets full. They were not only filled but they took up 12 extra baskets. That is dominion mentality. In other words where you are thinking there is lack, there is abundance there.

Matthew_28-18-1: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth

After feeding the multitude, Jesus said I am not yet done because I still have one more dominion mandate to show you. And so He said to His disciples let us go to the other side. When Jesus said let us go to the other side, he got into the boat with his disciples and went to sleep. Do you know why He went to sleep? Remember the Bible says the waves were beating into the ship and the ship was full of water and guess what? He was sleeping. The waves could not wake Him, neither did the running helter-skelter of the disciples, He was fast asleep. Jesus what kind of mentality is this? What He was trying to say is when the devil is through with what he is doing we will still get to the other side because my lips have spoken it. Angels are still working and I am working with them. And when they woke him up He said peace be still and the Bible says the storm and the sea obeyed Him and the people said what kind of a man is this? Jesus was a man who understood that He has dominion mandate over His life and He has dominion mentality.

Ephesians_6-10-1: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

But today, the devil, the god of this earth system is operating and making things look as though God is in trouble. But you as a believer have access to God by your relationship with Christ and can exercise that dominion mandate which God has given you. That is why John said any one who is born again can access the kingdom of heaven, see it and even understand it. And so you must never speak like the world?
