And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
John 8:32 says: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
There is great power in the Word. Jesus comes to bring us truth so that we can overcome the ignorance that hinders us.
The ignorance of God‘s will, plan, ways, and thoughts simply allows the devil to rule people and separate them from God’s will.
Ephesians 4:17-19 shows us this clearly. When Jesus brings us truth, that truth is filled with life. Jesus said, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)
The words that Jesus gives us are filled with life. He gives us the truth, and when we know the truth – no matter where we are, no matter what has been done to us, no matter what we’ve been through, no matter what we’ve fallen into, no matter what circumstances we must wade through – the truth has power to make us free.
Hebrews 11:3 says tells us He upholds all things by the word of His power. Every promise holds your identity and your victory by the word of His power. As you loose faith in the truth that Jesus gives you, then you discover there is true freedom, no matter what life brings you, in the salvation He has provided.
You are saved, so God wants you to live in the truth!
