Wait On The Lord

“Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, because I have asked him of the Lord”. I Samuel 1:20 (KJV)

Psalms_27-14: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD

Psalms_27-14: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD

Beloved, can you think of how many times you have sought alternatives because you thought God’s timing was not right? Can you remember how many times you felt disappointed just because the car, the job, the husband or wife you expected did not come at your own timing? Often times, I see believers jump from church to church in search of miracles because they are experiencing a delay in certain areas of their lives. The fact that you are experiencing a delay in one area or the other in your life does not mean denial. God is at work in your life and that situation would be turned around for good.

We are told in 1 Samuel Chapter 1 that a certain woman named Hannah could not bear children for a longtime and to worsen her case, she was constantly provoked by Peninnah who had several children. The scriptures recorded that God eventually visited her and gave her a son known as Samuel who later grew up to be one of the greatest Prophet ever lived. Hannah learnt to wait on God for her miracle and I also make bold to ask you to wait on the Lord for He will surely come through for you. You do not need to fret or panic, because the God you serve knows exactly what you need and He also knows when to bring it to pass in your life. The Psalmist in Psalm 27:14 says “wait on the Lord; be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait I say on the Lord”.

Child of God, I come to challenge you today to abstain from compromise. Don’t compromise your faith or seek for alternatives, hang in there, because the God you serve has not lost control over your life. He is still in charge!. Whatever you are believing God for is not beyond Him, so I encourage you to hang in there and let God strengthen you. Let Him take you every step of the way: wait for His timing and it shall be well with you. As you go into this day, I see the grace of God lifting you far above your fellows. You will win in every competition of life. You will not be denied. Amen!
